Candy Corn Cookie Brownie Bar

These cookie brownie bars are so good, and the

y're so festive, they just put you in the mood for Fall.  They'd make a great treat for the kids when they get home from school, or for a great dessert after a light dinner, or for Chili night. Whether you're having a Fall get together, or you just need chocolate gooey deliciousness, this is the one!  This is sure to be a favorite!


HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:

FOR THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BASE:

3 cups of Flour

3/4 cup of sugar

1 cup of brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 cup of chocolate chips

1 cup of butter - softened

2 eggs

1 Tablespoon of vanilla

FOR THE BROWNIE'S:

1 box of Brownie mix

DECORATIONS:

Fall sprinkles

1 - 2 packages of Candy Corn

FOR THE FROSTING:

1 container of Milk Chocolate Frosting

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

Line the bottom of a 9 X 9 dish with parchment paper, and butter the sides of the dish.  In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, make the cookie dough base; Place the eggs, sugar, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in the mixer, and mix until well blended and creamy. In a separate bowl, add the flour, baking soda, salt, and stir well to blend. Add the flour to the mixer, and blend well.  Add the chocolate chips and mix on low just until the chocolate chips are mixed into the dough.  Pour the cookie dough into the dish, and spread out evenly over the parchment paper.  Sprinkle Candy Corns on top of the cookie dough batter, to cover the batter, and set aside. In the mixing bowl, mix the Brownie mix, according to the package directions, and pour the Brownie batter over the candy corns.  Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.   Remove from the oven, and cool on a wire rack for about 2 hours.  When the Brownie layer is cool to the touch, spread the Brownies with the chocolate frosting, sprinkle the Fall sprinkle mix over the Frosting, and sprinkle Candy corns on top of the Fall sprinkles.  Allow Frosting to set, about an hour.  Serve, and Enjoy!

Makes about 9 servings

NOTE:  Make sure you butter the sides of the dish with firm butter, not melted, and not cooking spray.
