Pizza dough recipe:
2 - 2 1/3 c. flour of choice (we like 00 pizza flour)
2 1/4 t. instant yeast (or one packet)
1 1/2 T. sugar
3/4 t. salt
1/4 t. each garlic powder, basil, oregano (if desired)
2 T. olive oil
3/4 c. luke warm water
Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add olive oil and warm water and use a wooden spoon to stir well. Gradually add in another cup of flour until dough comes together. Turn out on to the counter and knead until smooth, adding a bit more flour as needed to no longer be sticky. Once smooth, ball the dough and return to the bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss the dough to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest for at least 30 minutes and has doubled in size.
Once the dough has doubled in size, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Turn out the dough on the counter and knead until smooth. Roll out into a circle (or alternate shape!). You can leave flat or roll the edges inward and pinch to create a ridge around the edge. Using a fork, poke a few holes throughout the dough to prevent air bubbles while baking. Top with your preferred pizza sauce and toppings. Bake for approximately 14-18 minutes or until cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool and enjoy!
